Biscuits & Gravy
Flaky homemade biscuits split and covered with creamy, peppery sausage gravy.

Ingredients
- 2 cups all-purpose flour (240 g)
- 1 tbsp baking powder (12 g)
- 1 tsp salt (5 g)
- 6 tbsp cold unsalted butter, cubed (85 g)
- 3/4 cup whole milk (180 mL)
Sausage Gravy
- 1 lb breakfast sausage (450 g)
- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour (30 g)
- 2 1/2 cups whole milk (600 mL)
- 1 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 tsp salt
Directions
- Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C).
- Mix flour, baking powder, and salt. Cut in butter until crumbly.
- Add milk and stir until a dough forms.
- Pat dough 1 inch thick and cut biscuits.
- Bake 12–15 minutes until golden brown.
- Brown sausage in a skillet, breaking it into crumbles.
- Stir in flour, then slowly add milk.
- Simmer until thick. Season with pepper and salt.
- Split biscuits and pour gravy generously over top.
