Cinnamon Sugar Donut Holes
Tender fried donut holes rolled in cinnamon sugar and finished with a simple vanilla glaze.

Ingredients
- 2 cups all-purpose flour (250 g)
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar (50 g)
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
- 3/4 cup whole milk (180 mL)
- 2 Tbsp unsalted butter, melted (28 g)
- 1 large egg
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- Vegetable oil, for frying
Cinnamon Sugar Coating
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar (100 g)
- 2 tsp ground cinnamon
Vanilla Glaze
- 1 cup powdered sugar (120 g)
- 2 Tbsp milk (30 mL)
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
Directions
- In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the milk, melted butter, egg, and vanilla extract.
- Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until a soft dough forms.
- Heat about 2 inches (5 cm) of vegetable oil to 350°F (175°C). Scoop or roll the dough into 1-inch (2.5 cm) balls.
- Fry the donut holes in batches for 2–3 minutes, turning occasionally, until golden brown on all sides. Drain on paper towels.
- While still warm, roll the donut holes in the cinnamon sugar mixture until evenly coated.
- Whisk together the powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla to make the glaze, then drizzle it over the warm donut holes.
- Serve immediately while warm.
