Ingredients

Brownie

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted (113 g)
  • 1 cup granulated sugar (200 g)
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/3 cup cocoa powder (30 g)
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour (60 g)
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp baking powder

Toppings

  • 4 large scoops vanilla ice cream
  • 1 cup hot fudge sauce (240 mL)
  • Whipped cream
  • 1/4 cup semi-sweet chocolate chunks (45 g)
  • 2 tbsp chocolate shavings

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a small cast iron skillet or oven-safe baking dish.
  2. Mix melted butter and sugar until combined.
  3. Add eggs and vanilla and whisk until smooth.
  4. Stir in cocoa powder, flour, salt, and baking powder until a thick brownie batter forms.
  5. Spread the batter into the skillet and bake for 25–30 minutes, until the edges are set and the center is still slightly fudgy.
  6. Let the brownie cool for 5 minutes.
  7. Place a large scoop of vanilla ice cream directly on top of the warm brownie.
  8. Pour generous amounts of hot fudge over the ice cream and brownie.
  9. Top with whipped cream, chocolate chunks, and chocolate shavings.
  10. Serve immediately while the brownie is warm and the ice cream begins to melt.
