Ice Cream Skillet Brownie

Ingredients
Brownie
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted (113 g)
- 1 cup granulated sugar (200 g)
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/3 cup cocoa powder (30 g)
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour (60 g)
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp baking powder
Toppings
- 4 large scoops vanilla ice cream
- 1 cup hot fudge sauce (240 mL)
- Whipped cream
- 1/4 cup semi-sweet chocolate chunks (45 g)
- 2 tbsp chocolate shavings
Directions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a small cast iron skillet or oven-safe baking dish.
- Mix melted butter and sugar until combined.
- Add eggs and vanilla and whisk until smooth.
- Stir in cocoa powder, flour, salt, and baking powder until a thick brownie batter forms.
- Spread the batter into the skillet and bake for 25–30 minutes, until the edges are set and the center is still slightly fudgy.
- Let the brownie cool for 5 minutes.
- Place a large scoop of vanilla ice cream directly on top of the warm brownie.
- Pour generous amounts of hot fudge over the ice cream and brownie.
- Top with whipped cream, chocolate chunks, and chocolate shavings.
- Serve immediately while the brownie is warm and the ice cream begins to melt.
