French Toast
Thick slices of brioche dipped in a cinnamon-vanilla custard, griddled until golden, and finished with berries and maple syrup.

Ingredients
- 8 thick slices brioche bread (about 1 loaf)
- 4 large eggs
- 1 cup milk (240 mL)
- 2 tbsp brown sugar (25 g)
- 1 tsp vanilla extract (5 mL)
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon (2 g)
- 2 tbsp butter (28 g)
For Serving
- Maple syrup
- Powdered sugar
- Strawberries, sliced
- Blueberries
Directions
- In a large bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, brown sugar, vanilla, and cinnamon.
- Dip each slice of brioche into the mixture, coating both sides.
- Melt butter on a griddle or skillet over medium heat.
- Cook the bread for 2–3 minutes per side until golden brown.
- Transfer cooked French toast to a serving platter.
- Dust with powdered sugar.
- Top with strawberries and blueberries.
- Drizzle generously with maple syrup and serve warm.
