Double Chocolate Chunk Cookies
Soft cocoa cookies packed with semisweet chocolate chunks and baked with rich, fudgy centers.

Ingredients
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened (113 g)
- 1/2 cup brown sugar (100 g)
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar (50 g)
- 1 large egg
- 1 tsp vanilla extract (5 mL)
- 1 cup all-purpose flour (120 g)
- 1/2 cup cocoa powder (45 g)
- 1 tsp baking soda (5 g)
- 1/2 tsp salt (3 g)
- 1 1/4 cups semi-sweet chocolate chunks (210 g)
Directions
- In a bowl, cream together butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar.
- Add the egg and vanilla extract and mix until smooth.
- Add flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt. Mix until a thick chocolate dough forms.
- Fold in the chocolate chunks.
- Scoop the dough into large balls and place them on a lined baking sheet.
- Press a few extra chocolate chunks into the tops of the dough balls.
- Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 10–12 minutes.
- Allow to cool slightly, then pull one cookie apart while warm and serve.
